Six Sigma
Six Sigma for Green Belts and Champions
"The perfect blend of managerial insight and a straightforward "how to" approach to statistics. Anyone interested in learning about Six Sigma will find this book exciting, and easy to read.
The Six Sigma Handbook
The Complete Guide for Greenbelts, Blackbelts, and Managers at All Levels. Revised and Expanded Edition by Thomas Pyzdek, McGraw-Hill Average rating: 4 (out of 5) This book is an excellent resource, however it is not an easy read. If you are unfamiliar with the Six Sigma language it takes awhile to sift through the information. There is a lot o information provided that will serve as a longterm resource.
Six Sigma For Managers
by Greg Brue Rating: 3 (out of 5) I already knew what six sigma was and I already had a basic grasp of statistical concepts. I got what I expected from the book, a high level overview of six sigma. This book is about 160 pages long, I think the author could have easily trimmed some fat and fluff and condensed it to less then 100 pages.
Design for Six Sigma : A Roadmap for Product Development
by Kai Yang, Basem S. EI-Haik, McGraw-Hill Professional Rating: 5 (out of 5) I have not found such a comprehensive book for design of six sigma. I started using this book for advanced experimental design and taguchi methods, but ended understanding the complete roadmap for design of six sigma. The systems approach allows an enthusiast reader to start anywhere, without having to spend time refering back to earlier chapters. The relatively newer trends as TRIZ and axiomatic design have also been nicely dealt with.
